About the event
History comes alive on our Saxonburg, Butler County tour! We will wander quaint “Main Street USA” with preserved buildings, many over 100 years old. Burg, Bits, and Bites will share with us much history including the story of founder John Roebling, the engineer behind the Brooklyn Bridge. And, of course, meet the present-day business owners who share their food and stories with our guests.
This charming little town, is the first destination for Burgh, Bits, and Bites outside of Allegheny County. It is an up-and-coming culinary spot. It features new and old establishments that provide tasty stops on our tour route. Enjoy delicious homemade soup, fine dining in a century-old hotel, German meats, sweet treats, and more. Step back in time and savor the treats that await in Saxonburg.
